Cant forget this one...The EARTH SONG!!

I luv the whole emotion it stirs in the end!!

Also LMAO at the crazy ass fan that hijacks the cherry picker!!...although I feel like kicking his ass!! ...li'l punk! I luv how Michael handles the situation & he still keeps going & screaming from the top of his voice!!

MOST FAVOURITE PART!! When he finally is rid of Crazy ass fan & then is going hhooooo hhooooo hhooooo hhooooo & "wait for it" he pulls his bang down over the side of his face!!! *dies* EPIC LOVE BAYBEE!!!

And I would find it very nice if you would post the reasons why you think that performance is good or special to you. Maybe we can discuss his dance skills or something like that.

I'll kick off. I just finished watching the performance Michael did at the 30th Grammy Awards. For me, it's one of the best television performances he ever did, even better than the famous Moonwalk performance in '83. The reason I like it so much is because a) he doesn't moonwalk in it, b) the tempo is actually quite slow, almost jazzed up. And because of that, to me it is one of the performances where you can actually see he is really feeling the rythm. He becomes the rythm. It's like watching music come to life. C) He is HOTTTTTTT in it. And D) I am crazy about the spin and fall he does at 9.03 He KILLS it. And E) the emotion in his singing his heartbreaking.

Here's the clip:

I just love this idea from Phoenix

And if I miraculously was stretched so my proportions were the same as his, my dancing still wouldn't be as good. And if I suddenly turned into a clone of him and danced like him, it still wouldn't be the same.

Simply because he has a spirit, hard to explain...He has emotion behind his dancing. You could call it soul. It's the aura he exudes. That kind of special quality is what differentiates between a good dancer and an exceptional one. Sorry to sound cheesy...but in the end, it's really all about heart. That's what makes him really stand out.

Because he can make dancing speak for itself. He dances so powerfully that it doesn't need explanations, it, like I said, speaks for itself.

It's like when I hear someone play an instrument and the notes sing.

Michael breathes life into dancing; something most people cannot do.

Sorry, this is just really hard to explain, for me...just my random ramblings...
Totally agree dear hihipeeps !!
Heehee! Believe me, first I wrote "ahapeeps"!

I know! I am still wondering how he is able to get his feet like that. lol I like that "hangman" step his does and when he walks like an old man crippled man.The dancing in that video is just amazing.

Ok. So. I'm still a little torn between Motown 25 Grammy Awards '88, but anyways, that has been covered plenty. People never really talk about this Billie Jean performace, perhaps because it's not the best vocally, perhaps because there is something amiss with the band (the bass sounds overly compressed, the sound of the keyboards is a little bit TOO pop-like, there is a definite 'emptiness' in the music, Sheryl Crow is butchering what's left of the song with her b/vocals), but I think this end dance is one of the best I've seen. He does this 'in and out' thing with his feet while doing the up down crotch thrust, there is something awesome about the way he takes his hands away from his hat before he does THE, most, amazing, circular slide I have EVER seen. There is a close up of his feet but you still cannot even follow them. The way he pulls up the right leg of his trousers while he's doing it. The only downside is that this end dance is quite short, and (dare I criticise MICHAEL JACKSON'S dancing? Am I really doing this?) I don't think he'd fully mastered (yet) that tap dance-like step that he does.

Additionally, another dance that made me think I wasn't really seeing what I was actually seeing, is that weird, static, robotic dance that I first saw at MTV awards 1995 (and HERE, that tap dance-like step is AWESOME).
