That is true, tho we do have a good try at it there is usually at least one mod on the forum, or one of us will come on when a post is reported but sometimes it isn't possible.

if a person is being malicious in their posts here (have i understood this situation correctly?) then of course their username can be banned. However if they continue to cause trouble by signing up with new accounts then it is possible to ban according to either singular IP addresses as well as entire subnets.

(A simple way of explaining a subnet is a group of IP addresses on the same network)

If i have time i can try and write some code. what will happen is that a username or ip address can be added in to the code and then a predetermined percentage of errors will occur for that particular person and no one else. sayfor example they try to post a thread then they will get a page not found or please log in error message 2 times out of every three attempts. but ONLY if i have time.

I got one of those, too. It was about a week ago and I just deleted it but it was a little disturbing to get something like that!
