Welcome to the MJFC Forums !

By your completion of the registration process you affirmed your agreement to the following guidelines and any and all future updates of these guidelines. You also affirmed your understanding that the reading of updated guidelines is the sole responsibility of the registrar ("User"):

The Michael Jackson Fan Club ("MJFC") Forum is a place to discuss Michael Jackson related topics. Discussions shall take place in a family atmosphere, appropriate for children of all ages.

In order to take part in the discussions or in the polls you must register first. Registration is free of costs. Required information is a user name, a password and a valid e-mail address (This is for MJFC use only. You can choose to hide this information in the preferences section so that your e-mail address is not accessible by the other Users). All other information you supply during the registration process is optional.

All children 13 years of age or younger need written permission from their legal guardian before they are allowed to actively take part in the Forum discussions. Detailed information is part of the registration process.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of MJFC.

Unless stated differently on one of the boards, MJFC does not review the messages before they are posted. Your messages are posted in real-time, meaning that they occur immediately after you sent them. However, MJFC reserves the right to delete any message for any reason and without prior notification if MJFC feels it necessary. Any User who feels that a posted message is objectionable, please contact the moderator. MJFC has the ability to remove objectionable messages as well as exclude User(s) from the Forum. MJFC will use this option in an attempt to keep the Forum enjoyable for everyone.

MJFC may delete, but is not under obligation to delete, any messages that do not follow the guidelines. For this, please note, that the User is solely responsible for all content that she/he posts via the Forum. You, the User, agree to indemnify and hold MJFC harmless from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising from the content of you post(s).

MJFC also reserves the right to reveal your identity in the event of any complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you, the User.


Your post MAY NOT contain:

• Personal attacks against anybody
  No harassing, hateful or threatening words towards anybody. You may not judge and/or criticize anybody because of race, religion or gender. Your post may contain constructive criticism concerning Michael Jackson's work, but MJFC will not tolerate controversial discussions about Michael Jackson's private life, such as, but not limited to, his marriages or his children. Any abusive or offensive posting - for instance, unnecessary verbal attacks on anyone, or failing to respect the Moderators - will result in a warning. Continual posting in this manner will then result in a permanent ban. The Moderators decide what is deemed unacceptable.
  
  
• Inappropriate language
  We wish for all our members to post using proper spelling, punctuation and grammar. This means no internet slang, no posting entirely in upper case, and sms/text language. Failure to follow this simple request will result in a warning. Any posts containing choice phrases or words used to describe Michael in an inappropriate sexual manner will be edited/deleted by mods. If posts of this nature continue they will be met with an infraction or ban.
  Please remember to keep your posts on topic. If you wish to talk about something which will cause the discussion to go off topic, either post a new thread or PM the member privately.
  The moderation of the Forum is private. If one of your posts on the Forum has been deleted, there will not be an explanation. If you think your post was deleted unfairly, please check these rules again first. You may contact a Moderator for further explanation or to explain the situation to them in private.
  Personality clashes between members are not suitable for other posters to witness. If you have a serious problem with another member, either e-mail or PM a Moderator explaining the situation, and we will do our best to resolve it. Do not bring it onto the Forum.
  
  
• Selling & Advertising
  The MJFC is a non-profit making organisation. Consequently, we cannot allow blatant advertising of products for sale. Moreover, selling certain items, such as pirated/bootleg material, is an illegal copyright infringement. Members advertising unauthorised materials, or selling authorised materials through online means such as eBay, will have their posting rights removed.
  However, trading is allowed in the trading section of the Forum. Please beware that MJFC cannot be considered responsible for the quality of the material or the genuinity of the trader. We strongly advice to trade material only with people whom you have known for a certain period of time. If something goes wrong in your trade, we won't be able to intervene. Nevertheless, you may let us know about members who, in your opinion, cannot be trusted as this might help us monitoring the situation.
  
  
• Copyright material
  Do not upload copyright material such as pictures, music files or software. Do not completely copy and post contents of other web sites without prior written permission.
  
  
• Links to web sites that feature illegal presentations
  Links to web sites that feature illegal presentations are not allowed. This includes sites which give access to downloads or sale of copyright material (songs, videos) as well as unauthorized pictures of Michael Jackson's children.
  
  
• Images
  • We only allow a maximum of two images in signatures. If you put more than two images in your signature, they will be removed by a Moderator.
  • Please make sure that any images you post on the forum are not restricted by copyright. If in doubt, link them from the original website, rather than posting them.
  • Please make sure that the size of your image does not alter the Forum layout (by being too large). Any such images will be removed.

The use of the MJFC Forum to spread junk mail, spam, chain letters or advertisements is not allowed under any circumstances.

The MJFC Forum may not be used to collect or store personal data about other users.

The MJFC Forum may not be used for the purpose of selling or solicitation of any nature.

The MJFC Forum may not be used to promote your events/ projects until you are granted permission from the admins. Please e-mail jonathan@mjfanclub.net for approval.

The Moderators are here to ensure the smooth running of the Forum. They have been appointed to enforce the rules of this message board. Continually ignoring a Moderator's instructions can result in a warning or ban.


Legal Construction: In the event any one or more of the provisions contained in these guidelines are for any reason invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, to the extent such invalidity or unenforceability does not destroy the basis of the guidelines, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability will not affect any other provision hereof and these guidelines will be construed as if such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision had never been contained herein. Whenever required by the content, as used in this instrument, the singular number includes the plural and the neuter includes the masculine or feminine gender, and vice versa. These guidelines will not be construed more or less favorably to any party by reason of authorship or origin of language.
