MJFC gathers and uses private information from the MJFC Message Board User(s) as follows:

  • The IP address
    MJFC uses the IP address to help administer the web site and to collect broad geographic information.
    Users who violate the rules and guidelines of the MJFC Message Board may be excluded by their IP address.
  • The e-mail address
    MJFC makes use of the e-mail address to verify the e-mail account and to send specific information concerning the registration and the use of the Message Board. In case a User does not stick to the guidelines MJFC may exclude him from active participation in the Message Board by his e-mail address.

    MJFC may collect the e-mail addresses of Message Board Users to send them information about modifications of the Message Board (e.g. updates of the guidelines) via a mailing list.

    MJFC does not make the e-mail addresses public to any other third party other than the following exception:
    MJFC reserves the right to reveal the identity of a User in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by this User.

  • Cookies & Username
    The MJFC Message Board uses cookies, the use of cookies is optional, though. Cookies are used to save a Users password and username so that the User is not forced to re-enter it every time she/he visits the Message Board. Cookies are also used to keep track on the current session and to show the User what messages he has already viewed / not yet viewed.
  • Other information
    MJFC does not reveal any information given during the registration process of the User to any third party other than in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by this User.

MJFC is not responsible for the information a User has decided himself to make public by the settings in his user profile or in his post. A User may always be aware of the possible misuse of private information when made public on the internet. MJFC recommends to be extremely cautious with making private information, such as snail mail address or phone number, public.
