(19-10-2011) As you all may know, the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray will soon be drawing to a close. Prosecutors and defense attorney's have indicated that the case will likely go to the jury by next week. Jury deliberations are not expected to last very long and we will soon have a verdict in the involuntary manslaughter case.

Regardless of the outcome, MJFC has decided it would be fitting to place flowers at the cemetery and to have flowers delivered to Mrs. Katherine Jackson when the verdict comes in. It just seems like the right thing to do. If you would like to donate to the effort to send flowers to Michael and to Mrs. Jackson after the verdict, you can do so Here.

Because we understand that these are lean times for many, and since we already have a couple of contests currently running on MJFC, we have decided to combine the FLOWERS For Michael and Katherine effort with the current MJFC raffle for the set of 2 picture discs. What this means is that, if you have already donated to MJFC in order to be entered in the drawing for the picture discs, then you have already donated to the FLOWERS effort. Thank you!

This also means that when you donate to the FLOWERS effort, you will automatically be entered into the drawing for the picture disc set. In this way, we are basically eliminating the raffle contest and giving away the picture discs to one lucky fan for donating to the FLOWERS project. That way, we are only asking you for money once and you get the chance to win something cool while helping to do something nice for Michael and for his mother.

We will be accepting donations for FLOWERS from now until the case is presented to the jury. When that happens, donations will be closed so that MJFC can make arrangements to have the flowers delivered. Once the flowers are delivered, the winner of the picture discs will be contacted by email.
