(12-7-2009) Michael's former chef gave an interview to RadarOnline. Douglas B. Jones was employed as Michael Jackson’s chef until he left at the end of May.

Jones says Jackson specifically wanted an African-American chef. He says the very first time he showed up at Jackson’s rented mansion in Holmby Hills he was told to drive around and come back five minutes later. A person on Jackson’s team later apologized to Douglas, explaining they had been dealing with Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, who was angry after Michael refused to let his dad entry to the mansion.

“They said either he shook the gate or hit the gate. I think when he left he was frustrated about something. They didn’t tell me what it was.”

His observations about Dr. Conrad Murray bring new and powerful information forward. Investigative sources have confirmed that police found Diprivan, a power sedative used as an anesthetic, at Jackson’s house. Medical professionals state that Diprivan, which is not for home usage, should always be used with oxygen.

“I noticed Dr. Murray exiting the kitchen area through the side door to the driveway area carrying a couple of oxygen tanks,” Jones told RadarOnline.com correspondent Rachel Smith. “The oxygen tanks were waist high, from my height. Heavy duty tanks.

There were occasions where I noticed during my term of employment in the security mobile unit that was located in the driveway that there was a few oxygen tanks there as well.

Dr. Murray was on the property at least five nights a week. My understanding was he was there all night to monitor Mister Jackson.” 

Jones said he had his doubts about Jackson being able to make it through a rigorous concert tour. He says that Jackson wanted him to accompany him on tour but they couldn’t agree on financial compensation.

Jones describes Michael’s three children as being “very intelligent... very advanced for their age”. He calls them “very polite” and the atmosphere in Michael’s mansion was “very peaceful... very tranquil” and that music was often played in the home.

Jones says Jackson often had dinner with his kids:

"The times that Mr. Jackson did not have dinner with the kids or he couldn't get back in time to have dinner with the kids, the youngest Blanket would sit at the head of the table where Mr. Jackson would normally sit. That was with Prince and fine with Paris. They never made any qualms about it. He was the youngest."

He also tells a story of 12-year-old Prince coming to him and the kids' pet bird was missing :

"I said to Paris, 'This may not be true, but you see these feathers down here? I believe the cat got the bird'. She got upset at that point. She said, 'Well, that's not true because where's the blood?' I said, 'there doesn't necessarily have to be any blood if the cat just grabbed the bird.'"

Michael Jackson rushed to help his kids find the bird. Jones says ten to fifteen minutes later, Jackson and Blanket found the bird dead in the movie theatre. Jones says Jackson thanked him and the nanny for trying to find the bird.

"The kids were very upset, crying at that point. Prince proceeded to go into the backyard area with a small hand shovel, and I believe bury the bird in the backyard area."
