09-12-2007 September 11, 2001 - Remembering
The evening of September 10, Michael was beautiful, as Michael always and forever will be remembered in our mind. A dynamic part of a dynamic production in one of the most revered venues in the world... Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple! The City That Never Sleeps! "If this town is just an apple...let me take a bite...." We wrapped ourselves in the glitz and glamor and glory and, when we had our fill of what must have been the most beautiful evening of all, we each crept into our beds in our air conditioned rooms with our friends beside us and dreamed the safest, most peaceful of dreams.
We believed that the most difficult part of this time would be having to once again be parted from Michael and our dearest friends. Everyone was set to return to their parts of the world and their separate lives. But we did not realize that souls set against a government and country were about to change our lives forever.
The morning of September 11, 2001 was the beginning of thousands of stories that we all, sadly, share in common. Each story is unique, but all begin with the crashing of planes and the crumbling of the Twin Towers.
For those who lived through the tragedy of September 11, we remember those who were not as fortunate. And we remember what "war" felt like, because that was a little touch of what is reality for millions every single day on our beautiful planet Earth.
With peace and love always, we remain
Your friends, the team of The Michael Jackson Fan Club
